Founded in 2025, on the belief that clothing should require no explanation.
LaCapra began as a reaction — to seasons that moved faster than the clothes deserved, and to a definition of luxury built on logos rather than materials. We make a small number of pieces, in natural fibers, with workshops we visit in person.
We are not trying to be everywhere. We are trying to be right, for a long time, for the people who notice the difference.

There is a moment in dressing when you stop thinking about what to wear, and simply reach for what is right. That moment is what we design toward. Not the first impression, but the hundredth — when a coat has been worn enough to belong to the body that wears it.
LaCapra does not aspire to be the loudest presence in the room. We aspire to be the last one standing when everything else has dated.
